In the early hours of this morning, at approximately 3:00 a.m., a Shomrim volunteer on night patrol noticed a man behaving suspiciously in the neighborhood. The individual appeared to be loitering and carefully surveying his surroundings as he moved slowly through the area. Recognizing the potential for criminal activity, the volunteer discreetly followed him from a safe distance and alerted other Shomrim volunteers for assistance.
Additional volunteers quickly joined, keeping a close eye on the suspect while ensuring he remained unaware of their presence. After walking several blocks, the man met up with an accomplice, and together, they continued until they forcibly broke into a nearby building.
Shomrim volunteers promptly surrounded the area and kept watch over the building, preventing any chance of escape. The NYPD, with help from Shomrim, arrived shortly after and arrested both suspects for the break-in.
