Two suspects approached a group of children and demanded their bike, warning that they had a bat if the kids didn’t comply. One of the suspects grabbed the bike and ran off. The frightened children began screaming for help, drawing the attention of a passerby who immediately called Shomrim.

As the dispatcher gave out the call, nearby Shomrim volunteers quickly arrived and spotted the suspects. While keeping a close watch on them, Shomrim alerted additional units and notified the NYPD.

The suspects were arrested shortly afterward when NYPD officers arrived on scene. The children were unharmed, and the stolen bike was returned.
