Shomrim received a hotline call reporting a person behaving aggressively, making threatening remarks toward passersby, and spraying an unknown chemical at people on the street. Shomrim volunteers quickly responded, keeping a safe distance while monitoring the suspect’s movements and providing the NYPD with real-time updates on his location.

Officers arrived shortly after and arrested the suspect. EMS was dispatched to evaluate at least one victim who was sprayed.
