A man was arrested by the NYPD with the help of Shomrim after he was caught stealing packages early this morning.

Shomrim volunteers on patrol picked up on a suspicious individual loitering near residential buildings. After a few blocks of discreetly following him from a distance, the suspect looked around to make sure no one was on his tail unaware that Shomrim volunteers were quietly watching.

He then walked up to a home and stole packages from the front of the house. Volunteers witnessed the theft and immediately notified the NYPD, who arrived shortly after and placed the suspect under arrest.
