Shomrim Responds to Vandalism Call, NYPD Tases Violent Suspect

Shomrim received a hotline call from a local resident whose parked car had just been vandalized by a violent individual. Volunteers quickly arrived on scene, spoke with the victim, and gathered a description of the suspect.

While relaying the information to fellow volunteers and the NYPD, one Shomrim volunteer spotted the suspect nearby and immediately passed the location to police officers already en route.

The NYPD arrived moments later and attempted to stop the suspect, but he grew aggressive and refused to follow commands. As the situation escalated, officers were forced to deploy a Taser to bring him under control. Even after being tased, the suspect continued to resist before he was finally taken into custody.
