A suspect was arrested after a passerby saw him stealing multiple scooters from a driveway and alerted Shomrim.

The witness noticed the individual enter a private driveway and emerge moments later with several scooters. Sensing something suspicious, he discreetly followed the suspect while notifying Shomrim. Within seconds, Shomrim volunteers were on scene, following the suspect’s movements while coordinating with the NYPD.

When officers arrived, they stopped the suspect and took him into custody. The NYPD also discovered that the suspect was in possession of a stolen bike worth several hundred dollars.
