A suspect who allegedly shoplifted from a local store was arrested by the NYPD with the help of Shomrim.

The incident began when Shomrim volunteers were alerted to suspicious behavior inside the store. After receiving the alert, volunteers responded to the location and observed the individual from a discreet distance as the suspect exited with unpaid merchandise. Shomrim volunteers continued to monitor the suspect while notifying the NYPD.

Officers arrived shortly afterward and placed the suspect under arrest.
