A suspect was arrested after stealing a box of meat from a store on Ft Hamilton Parkway, thanks to the quick actions of a passerby who immediately called the Shomrim hotline.

The incident began when the witness spotted the suspect taking the package and, while keeping an eye on them, alerted Shomrim. Volunteers quickly responded, keeping an eye on the suspect and updating the NYPD in real-time.

A few blocks away, NYPD arrived and arrested the suspect for stealing the package.
The store owner expressed gratitude for the teamwork that led to the arrest and the recovery of the stolen package.
