The incident began when Shomrim’s hotline received a call about a suspicious group in the neighborhood. Shomrim volunteers responded and began following the group. While keeping them under watch, Shomrim volunteers saw one of the individuals steal a scooter.

As the scooter was stolen, the NYPD was notified. Shomrim volunteers continued to follow the suspect closely, giving officers constant updates on his movements and location.

Police soon arrived, stopped the suspect, and placed him under arrest. The stolen scooter was recovered and returned to its rightful owner.
