A resident’s quick thinking and a call to the Shomrim hotline helped stop a bike theft in progress.

After spotting someone stealing a bike, the resident immediately contacted Shomrim. Volunteers responded right away, alerted the NYPD, and began tracking the suspect. Staying at a safe distance, they followed the individual while relaying his location to officers.

Thanks to their teamwork, the NYPD arrived quickly and arrested the suspect. The stolen bike was recovered and returned to its owner.
