NYPD with Help from Shomrim Arrests Suspect for Assaulting NYS Court Officer

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the assault of a New York State court officer, thanks to the coordinated efforts of Shomrim volunteers and the NYPD. The incident occurred Sunday afternoon when the court officer was assaulted, leaving him injured. The suspect fled the scene immediately after the attack.

At around 12 noon, a Shomrim volunteer on patrol spotted an individual matching the suspect’s description and immediately alerted other volunteers. Shomrim members kept a close watch on the suspect while notifying the NYPD. Officers arrived shortly after, confirmed the suspect’s identity, and took him into custody.
