An expensive bicycle theft ended with an arrest, thanks to the determined efforts of Shomrim volunteers and the NYPD.

At 1:16 PM, a caller reported the bike stolen to the Shomrim hotline. Shomrim’s IT team quickly began reviewing surveillance footage, spending hours tracing the bike’s movements through multiple cameras.

The turning point came when the stolen bike was spotted chained to a pole on a nearby street. Shomrim’s IT team reviewed additional footage to identify who had placed it there, uncovering the suspect’s identity.

With this critical evidence, Shomrim alerted the NYPD, who located and arrested the individual. The bike was returned to its rightful owner.
