The NYPD, with the help of Shomrim, arrested a suspect early this morning for stealing deliveries from a local store.
At around 4:15 AM on a freezing winter morning, a Shomrim volunteer on night patrol spotted two people behaving suspiciously. Recognizing the potential for trouble, he called for backup. Additional Shomrim volunteers quickly arrived and began monitoring the suspects’ movements.
The two individuals were seen trying to open car doors and wandering into driveways. Thankfully, all the vehicles were locked, leaving the suspects empty-handed. Undeterred, they continued searching for opportunities despite the bitter cold.
Their next target was a local store. One suspect stole a box of meat from a morning delivery, while the other acted as a lookout. Shomrim volunteers immediately alerted the NYPD, who responded quickly.
The suspect who stole the meat was arrested by the police, and the stolen items were returned to the store.
