In the midst of heavy Erev Shabbos traffic, a road rage incident escalated when a driver threatened another motorist with a weapon. The victim immediately contacted Shomrim and reported the threat.

Shomrim volunteers responded quickly, located the suspect’s vehicle, and began following it while keeping the NYPD informed. When the suspect realized he was being followed, he attempted to flee and entered the BQE. By that time, NYPD units were already in the area and moved in to stop the vehicle.

Officers conducted a stop, confirmed the details with the victim, and arrested the driver for menacing with a weapon.
A weapon was recovered at the scene.
