The incident began around 3:30 a.m., when Shomrim volunteers on patrol witnessed the suspect spray-painting graffiti.

Volunteers immediately began following him while alerting the NYPD and requesting additional Shomrim volunteers to assist. As the suspect moved through the neighborhood, he continued tagging multiple locations. Volunteers maintained visual contact until police officers arrived.

Within minutes, the NYPD stopped the suspect and placed him under arrest. He was charged with vandalizing multiple properties.
