Shomrim volunteers on patrol heard someone screaming for help and immediately responded, requesting backup from additional volunteers. As they began searching for the source of the screams, they saw a man fleeing the scene and found a victim lying on the ground.

Shomrim quickly alerted EMS and the NYPD. Volunteers stayed with the victim and asked what had happened. The victim confirmed that the individual who had just fled was the one who stabbed him.

Volunteers relayed that crucial information to the NYPD while continuing to follow the suspect from a distance. The NYPD responded quickly and arrested the suspect for the stabbing.
