Shomrim received a hotline call from a resident who had accidentally left an expensive special silver piece in a car service vehicle after taking a ride. The silver piece was especially meaningful, as it was intended for use at the Rebbe’s tishen.

Shomrim volunteers immediately began gathering information and shared the details with the Shomrim IT team. After reviewing nearby security camera footage, the team was able to identify the vehicle’s license plate.

Shomrim then contacted the car service company and obtained information about the driver. They learned that the driver was making trips through several neighborhoods and was based in the Bronx, where he was also taking many of his trips.

Determined to recover the valuable silver piece, Boro Park Shomrim volunteers continued following up and reached out to sister Shomrim organizations in the various neighborhoods where the driver was traveling.

The efforts continued all the way to the Bronx, with Shomrim volunteers working to locate the driver and make sure the special silver piece would not be lost.

After extensive effort and coordination between Shomrim organizations, the driver was finally located, and the expensive special silver piece was successfully recovered and returned to its grateful owner.

The owner expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Shomrim volunteers for their tremendous effort, time, and dedication, going far beyond the initial call and working tirelessly until the special silver piece was safely back in his hands.
