Shomrim received a call reporting two individuals tampering with a moped in the area. Responding Shomrim volunteers arrived and immediately began canvassing nearby blocks to locate the suspects.

During the canvass, a Shomrim volunteer spotted the individuals and began following them from a safe distance while notifying the NYPD. Additional Shomrim volunteers assisted in maintaining visual contact and relaying real-time updates as the situation developed.

While following the suspects, Shomrim volunteers observed that the original moped had been broken into and hotwired. As the suspects continued moving through the area, they were seen stealing an additional moped.

NYPD officers responded, stopped the suspects, and placed them under arrest. Two mopeds were recovered, one of which had been reported stolen the previous day.
