Shomrim received a hotline call from a resident who reported that his car was missing. The Shomrim IT team quickly reviewed surveillance cameras and spotted a tow truck towing the vehicle. When the NYPD checked, they confirmed the car had not been reported for towing or removal.

Shomrim then tracked the tow truck through hours of camera footage and followed it to the suspect’s home. Volunteers stood by outside the house until the suspect came out. The NYPD responded and placed him under arrest.
