At around 1:30 in the afternoon, a Shomrim vehicle on patrol was flagged down by a victim reporting that they had just been assaulted. Recognizing the urgency, the volunteer immediately alerted other Shomrim volunteers and the NYPD.

Shomrim volunteers quickly gathered crucial information from the victim and witnesses while additional volunteers spread out to canvass the surrounding area for the suspect. One of the volunteers soon spotted an individual matching the description and maintained a safe visual while providing real-time updates to the NYPD.

Officers responded to the location, confirmed the suspect’s identity, and placed him under arrest for assault.
