While many families are away for the summer, Shomrim volunteers have remained vigilant on patrol to help keep the community safe.

On Friday, a volunteer on patrol spotted a suspect removing packages from the steps of several homes. Recognizing the theft in progress, Shomrim quickly alerted the NYPD and provided details about the suspect’s actions and location.

NYPD officers responded promptly and arrested the suspect for stealing packages.
