An expensive scooter stolen from a local driveway was recovered thanks to fast action by Shomrim and the NYPD, who worked together to track down the suspect just blocks from the scene.

A call came into the Shomrim hotline from a distressed resident reporting that someone had just entered his driveway and taken off with his scooter. Shomrim Volunteers immediately responded, spreading out across the area while alerting the NYPD.

Just two blocks away, one of the volunteers spotted a man matching the description. The NYPD was notified and arrived promptly, stopping the suspect and recovering the stolen scooter.

Thanks to the quick coordination between the NYPD and Shomrim, the suspect was taken into custody and the scooter returned to its rightful owner.
