A drunk driver who crashed his moped and tried to flee the scene was arrested after Shomrim volunteers kept him in sight and alerted the NYPD.

Shomrim received a hotline call about a moped involved in an accident and quickly responded. As they arrived, the driver attempted to escape the scene. Shomrim volunteers immediately alerted the NYPD while tracking the suspect’s movements.

Police officers arrived moments later and found the driver intoxicated. He was taken into custody for driving under the influence and causing the crash.
