A man was taken into custody after NYPD officers, with the help of Shomrim, discovered he was driving with a suspended license and had burglary tools in his vehicle.

The incident began when Shomrim volunteers on patrol noticed a vehicle with mismatched license plates driving suspiciously near local businesses. The driver was observed stopping near multiple stores, raising concerns. Volunteers requested additional Shomrim volunteers to assist in following the vehicle from a distance while notifying the NYPD.

Responding officers arrived shortly after and conducted a traffic stop. Upon investigation, they determined the driver’s license was suspended. A search of the vehicle uncovered a set of burglary tools.

Authorities are now investigating whether the individual may be connected to recent burglary attempts in the area.
