In the early hours of the morning, a Shomrim volunteer on patrol spotted a suspicious individual walking through the neighborhood. Sensing something was off, the volunteer alerted additional members, who discreetly followed him from a distance.
As they monitored his movements, the suspect stole a moped and began pushing it down the street. Shomrim volunteers immediately notified the NYPD while continuing to follow him. A few blocks later, NYPD officers, stopped the suspect and took him into custody. Police later confirmed that he had an open warrant for a previous crime.
This arrest highlights the importance of vigilance at all hours. If you see something suspicious, say something.
