Driver Arrested By the NYPD with Shomrim’s Assistance for driving while intoxicated

During Shovavim patrol on Thursday night, Shomrim volunteers spotted a suspiciously parked vehicle in the middle lane of a local street. The car remained stationary for several minutes without movement, raising concerns for public safety.

Volunteers attempted to get the driver’s attention by honking but received no response. Approaching the vehicle, they knocked on the door and found the driver unresponsive. Concerned for his well-being, Shomrim promptly called 911.

NYPD officers and EMS arrived within minutes. When the driver finally opened the door, it became evident that he was highly intoxicated. The driver was taken into custody to prevent any further danger on the road.
