With package theft on the rise, Boro Park Shomrim is urging residents to take precautions to safeguard their deliveries. Simple steps can help prevent falling victim to these opportunistic thieves.

Plan ahead by scheduling deliveries for times when you’ll be home, or have packages sent to a trusted neighbor or workplace. If possible, request that deliveries be left in a discreet location, out of sight from the street, or held at a pickup facility.

Shomrim also recommends installing security cameras to deter thieves and provide evidence if a theft occurs.
