Boro Park Shomrim received a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) from Crown Heights Shomrim regarding a vehicle involved in the armed robbery of a mail carrier on September 9, 2024.
The Boro Park Shomrim intelligence team immediately mobilized. Armed with a detailed description of the vehicle, including its license plate number, and utilizing advanced technology along with a sophisticated high-resolution camera system, the team worked diligently to track down the suspect. By September 19, the vehicle’s location was identified.
Once our volunteers had the vehicle in sight, they discreetly followed it through Boro Park, into Flatbush, and ultimately to the Brownsville section of Brooklyn.
Throughout the operation, our volunteers were in constant communication with Crown Heights Shomrim, local law enforcement, and Postal Police. This collaborative effort culminated on East 95th Street, where the suspect was apprehended and the vehicle was seized for investigation. The teamwork between multiple agencies ensured a swift and decisive resolution to the case.
