A suspect involved in a violent assault was arrested, thanks to the combined efforts of the NYPD and Shomrim volunteers.

The incident occurred on a local street when a man blocked traffic, prompting a passerby to ask him to move aside and allow vehicles to pass. Instead of complying, the suspect became aggressive, spitting in the passerby’s face and punching him.

Shomrim was called quickly to the scene and their volunteers provided crucial details to the NYPD. Hatzolah also responded, treating the victim for minor injuries.

NYPD officers arrived shortly after and arrested the suspect.
