Two suspects attempting to break into a local store and stealing a moped were arrested thanks to the coordinated efforts of Shomrim volunteers and the NYPD.

Shomrim volunteers on night patrol had been trailing the suspects after noticing their suspicious behavior. While volunteers tracked the individuals on foot, the Shomrim IT team monitored their movements using security cameras, keeping a close watch from multiple angles.

As one suspect attempted to break into a store, the other successfully stole a moped. The noise alerted the moped’s owner, who came outside and startled the suspects, causing them to flee. Shomrim volunteers trailed the suspects while notifying the NYPD. Responding officers quickly arrived on scene and arrested both individuals. Tools, keys, and a knife were found in the suspects’ possession.
