Moments before the start of Shabbos, the NYPD with the help of Shomrim arrested a driver for driving while intoxicated after crashing into a parked vehicle.
The incident took place late Friday afternoon when Shomrim received a hotline call about a driver who appeared impaired. Witnesses reported seeing the driver collide with a parked car, causing damage. Shomrim volunteers quickly responded, notifying the NYPD while keeping the driver in sight.
The driver attempted to leave the scene, but Shomrim volunteers maintained visual contact and directed officers to his location. Thanks to this coordination, the NYPD arrived shortly after and arrested the suspect for driving while intoxicated.
