A concerned caller to the Shomrim hotline reported a male acting erratically on the street, appearing highly intoxicated and screaming. Shomrim volunteers quickly responded to the location and observed the individual entering a vehicle and beginning to drive.

Recognizing the danger, Shomrim volunteers followed at a safe distance while immediately notifying the NYPD. As the driver continued for several blocks, his vehicle was seen swerving on the road, posing a serious risk to others.

The NYPD, responding promptly to the information provided, intercepted the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. After determining that the driver was under the influence, officers placed him under arrest.
