A suspect is under arrest after allegedly stealing packages from multiple homes, thanks to the sharp eye of a Shomrim volunteer and coordinated efforts with the NYPD.

While on patrol, a Shomrim volunteer spotted an individual walking with several packages in his possession, raising immediate suspicion. The volunteer began to discreetly follow the man and quickly observed him entering private properties and removing packages left near front doors.

The volunteer alerted additional Shomrim volunteers to assist in following the suspect and requested backup while continuing to monitor the suspect’s movements. Volunteers maintained visual contact as the suspect moved through the neighborhood, checking porches and taking more packages.

The NYPD was notified and arrived shortly after. Officers confronted the suspect and recovered a number of stolen packages still in his possession. He was taken into custody at the scene.
