It began when Shomrim received a hotline call reporting a suspicious group walking through the area. Volunteers responded and began following the group as they moved through driveways and alleyways, appearing to search for unattended property.

Moments later, one of the individuals was seen taking a scooter. Shomrim volunteers quickly alerted the NYPD and provided real-time updates on the suspect’s location and direction.

NYPD officers responded immediately and were able to stop the suspect. He was placed under arrest for stealing the scooter.
