Shomrim received an alert about a vandalism in progress after a suspect was seen damaging a vehicle.

Witnesses reported that the suspect had been demanding money from drivers passing by on the street. When one driver refused to open his window and give money, the suspect lashed out by vandalizing the vehicle.

Afterward, the suspect attempted to flee the scene, heading toward a nearby train station. Shomrim volunteers quickly responded, keeping the suspect in sight while notifying the NYPD. Officers arrived promptly and arrested the individual at the station, preventing his escape by train.
