Shomrim received a hotline call from Live Lion Monitoring Company, reporting that a suspect had stolen a package from the lobby of one of their buildings. Within moments, Shomrim volunteers were on the scene, gathering details and canvassing the surrounding streets.

During their search, Shomrim volunteers spotted the suspect carrying the stolen package just a few blocks from the building. Building management confirmed that the man, a former employee of the building, had no authorization to remove or handle any packages. At this point, Shomrim volunteers immediately notified the NYPD while continuing to follow the suspect.

The suspect then attempted to make a quick getaway by boarding a city bus. Shomrim volunteers maintained visual contact to ensure he could not escape. Responding officers intercepted the bus a short distance later, arrested the suspect, and recovered the stolen package.
