Suspect Arrested for Breaking Into Vehicle in Local Parking Lot — Thanks to Alert Shomrim Volunteer

A suspect was arrested after breaking into a vehicle parked in a local parking lot, thanks to the vigilance of a Shomrim volunteer who happened to be in the right place at the right time.

The volunteer had gone to a nearby shop to pick something up when he noticed a man casually entering a vehicle that clearly didn’t belong to him. Sensing something was wrong, the volunteer quickly called for additional Shomrim to keep eyes on the suspect, who showed no urgency unaware that someone nearby was watching his every move.

Volunteers quietly monitored as the suspect began emptying the car of valuable items. The NYPD was alerted and officers arrived before the suspect could flee, placing him under arrest.
