Shomrim received a hotline call reporting an assault in progress following a traffic accident involving a car and a truck. Volunteers quickly responded to the scene while the NYPD was notified.

According to witnesses, after the collision, the female driver of the car stepped out of her vehicle to speak with the truck driver. Instead of addressing the situation, the truck driver suddenly attacked her, leaving her with injuries.

Hatzalah treated the victim on scene, and then transported her to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment.

The NYPD arrived shortly after and conducted an on-scene investigation. Based on witness accounts and details gathered, officers placed the truck driver under arrest for assault with injuries.
