A suspect was arrested after Shomrim received a hotline call about an individual acting suspiciously while walking around on a local street.

Shomrim volunteers quickly responded and began following the individual from a distance. While keeping him under observation, Shomrim volunteers noticed him enter the front yard areas of private properties, where he removed two carriages.

As he continued moving through the area and stole the carriages, the NYPD was alerted. Shomrim volunteers maintained a visual on the suspect and provided constant updates to the NYPD. Police officers arrived shortly after and stopped the suspect.

He was found in possession of a large knife. The suspect was taken into custody and is facing multiple theft-related charges.
