Shomrim received a hotline call that an individual was seen placing merchandise into his pockets and bag while glancing around to see if anyone was watching. The concerned manager contacted the Shomrim hotline, describing the suspect’s actions as he moved through the store, removing items from the shelves and concealing them.

Shomrim volunteers arrived quickly. As they approached, the suspect exited the store and started walking away. Volunteers maintained visual contact while notifying the NYPD. They followed the suspect at a safe distance until officers arrived on the scene.

With the help of Shomrim, the NYPD arrested the suspect and recovered the stolen merchandise.
