Shomrim is alerting the public to a rise in vehicle thefts, with Honda and Toyota models being primary targets. These thefts are being carried out using advanced techniques that allow vehicles to be taken without visible signs of damage.

Shomrim is closely monitoring these incidents and added additional units on night patrol and continues to share real-time information with the NYPD to ensure the safety of our community,

Vehicle owners are urged to confirm that their factory-installed tracking systems are active and functioning properly, and to consider installing an additional tracking device for added protection. Drivers are also reminded not to leave valuables or talis and tfilin inside their vehicles.
