Shomrim received a hotline call from a concerned father who believed his son had left his tefillin on a city bus. Due to the importance of the item, Shomrim immediately began looking into the matter.
After reviewing footage from nearby businesses, Shomrim determined that the son had not entered the bus with the tefillin. It appeared that the tefillin had been left behind earlier while he was still walking through the area.
Shomrim’s IT team then worked to trace the route from the point where the tefillin was last seen in his possession. By carefully reviewing cameras along his path, they identified a location where he walked away without it.
Shomrim volunteers responded to the area and located the tefillin secured behind a glass door inside a hall. Volunteers contacted the building’s management, who came to open the door and safely return the tefillin.

The family expressed their appreciation for the dedication shown by the Shomrim IT team and volunteers. Shomrim also reminds community members and business owners that access to exterior cameras can be vital in assisting the community when needed.
