A buchir returning home after the first half of summer camp was relieved to be reunited with his missing suitcase after Shomrim stepped in to help.
While bringing in his belongings, the buchir realized that one of his suitcases was missing. He immediately contacted Shomrim for assistance.
Volunteers responded quickly and began reviewing security cameras in the area. After checking footage camera by camera, they spotted a driver who had stopped his car, noticed the unattended suitcase on the street, picked it up, and drove off with it.
With a clear description of the vehicle, Shomrim volunteers spread out to canvass the neighborhood. Within minutes, a volunteer located a car matching the description and followed it until it came to a stop.
When volunteers approached the driver and asked if he knew anything about the suitcase, the driver (a fellow Yid) explained that he had taken it to prevent it from being stolen but had been unable to locate the owner to return it. He handed it back immediately.
Thanks to Shomrim’s quick response and dedicated follow-up, the buchir was reunited with his belongings and expressed his gratitude to the volunteers for their help and to the driver for safeguarding his suitcase.
