Shomrim received an alert reporting a suspicious individual wandering through the neighborhood. Volunteers immediately responded and picked up eyes on the suspect, who was seen moving slowly along residential blocks, scanning homes and checking doorsteps.

As they continued to monitor his movements, Shomrim volunteers observed him approaching houses, opening mailboxes, and removing packages left by the door. It quickly became clear that this was more than just suspicious behavior he was actively stealing mail and packages from multiple properties.

While maintaining visual contact, Shomrim immediately notified the NYPD and relayed the suspect’s location in real time. Within minutes, officers arrived on scene, stopped the suspect, and placed him under arrest. All stolen mail and packages were recovered.
