Shomrim received a hotline call from a passerby reporting that a suspect had just stolen a package from the front of a residence. Volunteers immediately responded to the scene and contacted the homeowner to confirm the theft.

While tracking the suspect’s movements, Shomrim notified the NYPD and continually updated the location until officers intercepted the individual. While the NYPD was searching her, additional stolen packages were found in her backpack and were returned to their rightful owners.

On the spot, the NYPD also confirmed that the suspect had a few open warrants. She was taken into custody for the package theft as well as the outstanding warrants.
