Shomrim received a hotline call from the victim reporting the incident. Shomrim volunteers immediately responded to the scene, gathering details and securing surveillance footage from the surrounding area to piece together the suspect’s movements.

The Shomrim IT team worked meticulously, reviewing camera footage frame by frame to trace the suspect’s route and pinpoint his possible whereabouts. While reviewing footage at a nearby home, one volunteer unexpectedly spotted the suspect passing by the location. Without delay, additional volunteers were alerted to maintain visual contact while notifying the NYPD. Officers quickly arrived and took the suspect into custody.
