A Shomrim volunteer was alerted to a vehicle involved in an accident, where the driver appeared to be attempting to flee the scene. Recognizing the situation, the volunteer immediately informed additional Shomrim volunteers and contacted the NYPD.

Shomrim volunteers quickly arrived, ensuring the driver remained at the scene until NYPD officers responded. After conducting an investigation, officers determined the driver was intoxicated and placed them under arrest for driving while intoxicated and causing the crash.
