A suspect was caught just moments before driving off on a stolen moped, thanks to the quick coordination between Shomrim and the NYPD.

The incident began when Shomrim received a call about a suspicious individual seen tampering with a parked moped. Volunteers quickly arrived and observed the suspect actively hotwiring the vehicle, with wires already disconnected and exposed.

After successfully hotwiring the moped and preparing to flee, the suspect was stopped in his tracks when NYPD officers arrived at the scene and placed him under arrest.

Thanks to the fast response and strong coordination between the NYPD and Shomrim, the stolen moped was recovered before the suspect could get away.
