Graffiti Suspect Arrested After Family Spots Crime

A Shomrim volunteer who was out shopping with his family on Friday reminded his child of an important lesson: “If you see something, say something.” Moments later, that reminder turned into real action.

While they were shopping, the child noticed someone vandalizing a nearby property with graffiti and immediately told his father: “Tatti, I see someone doing graffiti!”

The father, a Shomrim volunteer, quickly grabbed his radio and alerted additional volunteers in the area. Other Shomrim volunteers responded within moments, keeping the suspect in sight while the NYPD was notified.

The NYPD arrived shortly after and arrested the suspect for vandalizing property.
