At approximately 4:00 a.m., a Shomrim volunteer on patrol noticed a suspicious individual walking away from a vehicle just as its alarm went off. He immediately alerted additional Shomrim volunteers and began following the suspect.

As the suspect moved through the area, he was observed trying the doors of multiple vehicles, making entry into several, and stealing valuable items. The NYPD was notified while Shomrim volunteers maintained a close watch until officers arrived.

The suspect was arrested by the NYPD, and multiple stolen items were recovered during the investigation.
